After completing the online session four and all of the homework, please return to this post and answer the Essential Question for Session Four by posting a "COMMENT" to this blog entry.
What is the conceptualizing process and how will you do it?
What is the conceptualizing process and how will you do it?
I am going to try to look at the big picture of the lesson I want to teach and ask myself what I want my students to learn most. I am going to pretend that I am the student and think of what would be the easiest way for me to learn the information and get the moral of the story so to speak. I am going to focus on my take away and move backwards toward how to set my students up to receive it in the way I want them to grasp it.
Because students have had plenty of experiences with relationships, I will ask them to find either pictures or sections of music that illustrate how one of their relationships progressed. I'll need to set it up by asking if all relationships work smoothly or if there are speed bumps along the way. I typically just jump into the "lecture" and skip quadrant 1 and the right part of quadrant 2.
I admit to not feeling really comfortable answering this question because I didn't take good notes when we talked about this =(

Oh yea, I am going to use my imagination and try to come up with some pictures and multi-sensory ways to express my concept
